Beaches for a weekend from the Midlands?

I would like to take my 3 year old to the beach this summer. Bit strapped for cash so probably only a for a weekend.

Any recommendations? We are near Leicester.

Will have a 9 month old and possibly hubby in tow too.

We went to Brean for the weekend last weekend and it was lovely.

We went on the beach in Brean, Burnham on Sea and Weston and the kids had a whale of a time.
The beach in Burnham was the nicest IMO.
