Passport help - do I need to renew?

Does anyone know if I can travel from the. UK to France and back for a few days on a passport which has less than 6 months remaining?

Remember that the passport office can add up to nine months remaining on an old passport to a new one, so you don't need to wait until your existing one has nearly run out before renewing.

I know girly, thank you, it's just an extra expense I was trying to avoid but think I'll just renew to be safe :-)

...but don't do that until after your trip if the trip is soon. Do it when you have no immediate need of the passport.

It's not until October so should be enough time
