Best tip for keeping baby in shade on the beach

DS will be 8 months when we head to Greece and is starting to be very mobile - any tips on how to keep him in shade - something that we can easily pack with us? I've got a UV suit for him and hats, but can't see him sitting still on a chair....

There are pop up tents but a mobile baby wants to dig in the sand and crawl around.

I think covering him from head to toe and only going to the beach early morning and late afternoon will be the best solution. Let him nap in the hotel room, do a long siesta and get a shade-a-babe for the pram so you can walk around with him being covered.

you will also probably find shady spots in your hotel/accommodation where you can spend the high-UV hours, nicer than being stuck in the room.

If you have a UV shelter and a big beach brolly you can engineer a nice patch of cool playing on sand.

Pool in the morning.

Buy lunch and booze at the supermarket, picnic on your balcony while baby naps away the hottest bit of the day.

Wander down to the beach when the evening shadows are longer.
