Bugaboo Donkey travel bag on Easyjet / mybuggyclips in hand luggage?

Hi - has anyone ever used one? We want to take ours with us but wondering if they count this as hand luggage if you want to take it to plane door and then put your buggy in it?

Also do you know if the part metal buggy clips are confiscated in hand luggage?!!

Thanks!

I doubt a bugaboo donkey is the sort of pram you can take to the gate. It's huge! You'll need to check it in. They only let you take umbrella style pushchairs all the way to the plane don't they? I have a bugaboo bee and have always bagged it and checked it.

Not sure why the buggy buddy clip would be an issue? Can't you leave it on the pram?

I've taken a chameleon to the gate before, so pretty sure it would be ok. It says on the website, that as long as it's collapsible it's ok. They can't discriminate against people who need to use a double buggy surely?!!!

Ok, if you've done it with a chameleon then I guess you'll be ok.

I'm surprised though - I never think of Bugaboos as being collapsible.

I've seen Stokke Xplory's taken to the gate on Easyjet! basically if it folds it's OK. It's solid prams like Silver Cross coach built that can't be folded, or rigid carrycots they exclude.

Also have you considered that you won't get it back until baggage reclaim at the destination?
