Travel Insurance question for any seasoned travellers on here

ok here's the deal... going to do some travelling this year so will get an annual insurance. However, have quite a flash expensive camera & equipment and most insurance co's only seem to cover £250 for personal items per item. So has anybody come across a travel insurance co that covers higher amounts?

Surely you can negotiate an additional premium for any policy if you´re willing to pay a bit more???

you could cover the camera on your household policy instead.
