Beijing Book Fair?

I'm booked to attend my first Beijing International Book Fair and I'd love it if anyone could share their advice and comments.

I regularly attend other book fairs for work (academic publishing) but this will be my first visit to BIBF. I will be escorted at times by our Chinese rep, but will have several meetings with publishers in Beijing.

I've never travelled in China though I've been to several other parts of Asia for personal rather than business travel. I'm also vegetarian, and have been advised it may make sense to tell people that I am allergic to meat, to save any inadvertent offense.

Any thoughts or advice? TIA.

I live in China and would just say you are vegetarian. Don't believe this would offend anyone. Do you eat fish? Lots of tofu and great vegetable dishes here.
Toilets can be grotty here so take hand sanitizer (often no soap) and always carry a pack of tissues.
