Paying for a barge holiday in instalments

I have always wanted to go on a barge holiday. Anyone know if there are companies who will let you book in advance and pay in instalments.

I don't know about the instalments, but chances are you will pay a deposit and a balance at some point after that. If you can narrow it down to which canal you want to navigate, there will be a boatyard somewhere along where you start from and return to, and they will give you all the info/prices for the different sized boats. It's so many years since I was on a narrowboat I think we paid by cheque!

Could you not just pay the deposit and then open an easy access savings account and put the money away every month so that when the balance is due you can just get the money out to pay.

A group of us at work did this for a hen weekend - we planned a few extra installments to cover some spending money too.
