villa with pool but part of a hotel complex?

Hardly the biggest problem in the world, but we're starting to think about a holiday for next year and we're a divided family...

I'd like a hotel with pools and table tennis and food and stuff and ds's and dp want their own pool. Is there anywhere that kind of does both? Grin

Anywhere in Europe that's going to be sunny next October...

Blimey that place in Crete looks amazing. Probably a good job I can't see any prices - can dream about it for longer before I send an enquiry off and the bubble has to burst...!

Check out James villas holiday complexes, they specialise in that sort of thing.

Portofino · 14/08/2013 21:07

Valamar in Croatia also does the same sort of thing. Maybe less budget crushing..?

DottyDot · 14/08/2013 21:14

Thanks - will do. Have realised that googling hotels with villas helps..! Grin. Some amazing places out there...

Kresten Royal Villas and Spa in Rhodes. Can't do a linky thing, sorry :)

insomniarules · 14/08/2013 21:17

Aphrodite hills Cyprus. Pricey but villas with pools in a complex.

Aftereightsarenolongermine · 15/08/2013 06:52

Bahia del duque in Tenerife - villas are amazing.

DottyDot · 15/08/2013 18:20

loving these suggestions Grin

scarily, some of them don't let you check the prices on-line - am not contacting them yet - probably better to keep saving and check in a few months as I'm thinking about October 2014!

At Aphrodite Hills the villas are run separately to the hotel so you have to pay to use the hotel facilities, hotel pools, kids club, beach clubs etc. Make sure you read all the small print.

Martinhal in Portugal. Not sure how warm it will be in October though.

Also ridiculously expensive so look for deals.

DottyDot · 25/08/2013 18:06

Thanks. I'm wearing google out at the moment with holiday imaginings..! We were very lucky to get some PPI money recently so I've tucked it away for next year's holiday - wouldn't normally be looking at anything so extravagant!

Even with that, some of the prices are unbelievable... Shock

Any recent recommendations for a holiday for 2 adults and two kids 2 and 3 years old? Big room or apartments with kids clubs all inclusive?

sparkle17 · 16/02/2018 18:25

I'd also like to know if there are any good ideas for villas or self-catering accommodations with shared pool/amenities etc. Want to go away with extended family but have separate living areas

We have booked this place for this Summer. Although we got our villa independently, on holiday lettings or something.
Villa has 3 bedroom, one en suite master with balcony overlooking golf course, air con in all rooms, table tennis, a good sized pool (bigger than most on this site), and is a 10 minute walk to the gorgeous sandy beach. Although we are not staying at the hotel, we can use their restaurants, and there is bike hire, horse riding and other amenities we can use.
We usually book a villa out in the country side but are trying something different this year, as I wanted to be able to walk to the restaurants etc.
The villa was £2500 for two weeks, and our flights were £1200 return for a family of 5, we go beginning of July.

Monte Santo in Portugal have large 2 bedroom villas on a hotel complex. You can do SC but use hotel facilities so best of both worlds.

sparkle17 · 18/02/2018 12:47

They both look good but worried I would find it difficult without a car.

A1Sharon · 18/02/2018 21:56

We are hiring a car, we always do! We love day trips to old towns etc.
