Middle names on flight tickets??

I am having a panic as I've just booked ryanair flights and realised I haven't put my dc's middles names on their tickets!! Do the names on tickets have to exactly match their names on their passports? Or will I get away without changing them (and paying a huge fee for this). Does anyone know?? TIA

I have a middle name which is on my passport but never use it when booking flights online. It has never been an issue, but then I wouldn't put it past Ryanair to try to charge!

I think they might do on Ryanair. I'm sure when I was booking (return leg) with Ryanair it said to enter the names 'as they appear on the passport'. I knew hadn't done this on outward Jet2 journey so panicked about that instead

Despite their awful reputation, there are enough comments on MSE from people who have called them and they've changed it for no fee. Worth a go.

You don't need to put middle names.

No facility to put middle names on booking on line, just flew out to Spain today with Ryan air only first and surnames on boarding passes and no issues.

I worked for BA and you did not need middle names so there is no legal reason that they would need it.
