Child free UK break this weekend- something scenic and peaceful?

I miscarried this time last week at 11 weeks :( and I've really struggled this week. I just want to 'escape' from everything for a bit, and DH suggested we have a weekend away somewhere this weekend to just be together.

We're in London, but can drive anywhere. Anyone know of 'calm' seaside towns, or anywhere with incredible beauty that we can go to? Not fussy on accommodation- if you can suggest an area, I can google accommodation. Many thanks.

southwold and all around there is lovely. new forest also. you are going to struggle though because it is august. look for places away from the sea - more likely to find something. also try the last minute and late bookings sites. what about the warner type hotels that do adults only breaks. good luck.
