Hotels in Paris?

Hi,

I haven't been to Paris in a good few years (not since the weekend DD was conceived Blush) but I have a work meeting in October and am thinking of tacking on a family weekend there the weekend before it. (I have been to Brussels and Geneva lots for meetings, but never Paris).

I don't yet know where the meetings will be, but presume city centre somewhere and I am very comfortable using Metro etc. So I am not overly bothered about that location - apart from staying reasonably central (so easily accessible to Government offices districts).

Would any of you wise MNers have any recommendations of hotels to stay that would be suitable for a 7 year old too? I know rooms tend to be small anyway - do any hotels do interconnecting rooms?

And apart from the big tourist things (I know DD would want to go up Eiffel Tower but be bored senseless at the Louvre), have you any recommendations for children - activities, restaurants etc? (And NO Disneyland, as we went to Orlando for summer hols this year - this is a city break). DD is ADHD so needs lots to do (won't stand in line for hours for different things - she'd do it for ET but not repeat it often).

We've usually stayed near the Etoile, and last time we were near Opera.

I'd be almost certain we'll fly into CDG if that makes any difference.

(And I may change my mind and go back to my original plan of a plain ole city break for DH and I, with DD in Granny's house for the weekend - but I want to see if there are good options to bring her as she has shown an interest in going in the past).

Thanks in advance,
Biddy
