My case is slightly bigger than the luggage restrictions!

Accoridng to Virgin site each peice of checked in luggage should be a certain size. Yhe height, length and width sould be no more than 62 inches in total. But we are allowed 2 pieces each. each weighing up to 23kgs.

Now we have two cases. One is smaller and weighs 17kgs.

The seocnd is a larger case and is weighing just over 17-18 kgs I think. Howver just added up dimensions, after reading site, and it measures in total about 65 inches.

DH reckons they won't check the dimensions. What do you think? I have no laternative anyway!

as you are way under in total weight, I doubt they will be bothered (they are a bit more fussy about hand luggage)

hulababy · 12/06/2006 21:38

Good, thanks :) We are way under limit, even with the car seat and a buggy. There are 3 of us and have less than 40kgs.

You should be fine - the difference is marginal

foxinsocks · 12/06/2006 21:39

where are you going?

hulababy · 12/06/2006 21:42

Florida. Doing two weeks of parks.

Love the holiday bit. hate the flight bit. This is my panic hour I think Grin

Waht did you decide re car seat in the end ?

foxinsocks · 12/06/2006 21:44

how exciting

drugs are the answer or failing that, letting dh do the kids while you have some large drinks Grin

hulababy · 12/06/2006 21:47

Yorkiegirl lent me her spare car seat. It even has it's old bag, and it is far lighter than our isofix seats. I decided on common sense for a change!

when are you going?

hulababy · 12/06/2006 21:49

Drugs sound good. I hate flying! Okay once on and in air and settled. But I get so worked up getting on the darn thing and take off/landing!

hulababy · 12/06/2006 21:49

Fly out at 11am tomorrow. Leave house at 5am.

Bon Voyage Hula! Not much sleep tonight then?

foxinsocks · 12/06/2006 21:52

not sure I should say anything but just wanted to make sure you'd seen \link{http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/americas/5072350.stm\this} - could be nothing but thought you should know (please don't shoot me but if I was going off there, I thought on balance, I would probably want to know!). May be nowhere near where you are going.

Have a good flight and enjoy the parks.

hulababy · 12/06/2006 21:52

No, I'll be a nightmare and then regret ait when the alarm goes off at 4am. Best go to bed soon actually! Only 6 hours till wake up time :)

Oh no!!! Not again. Last time we went. two years ago, we got Hurricane Charley - on our first full day. Only last one half day of the holiday through it though.

Just storm warnings at the moment on the Gulf Coast. Hopefully it will calm down before it hits land and keep on same track away from us.

foxinsocks · 12/06/2006 21:57

oh phew - it doesn't look like a massive one and as you are experienced storm people Wink it shouldn't be a problem

bet your kids can't wait!

hulababy · 12/06/2006 21:58

Just one DD, age 4, and she is so excited. had nightmares last night due to it. Sent her to nursery fror extra session to day to take her mind off it. She has been doing a day count down for past 2 weeks. And had her flight bag packed for ages. LOL!
