Ideas for where to go with a 5 mth old in Aldershot area

Hiya
I'm a new mum in central Aldershot, relatively new to the area (just over a year), don't know many people, and looking for things to do with a 5 month old. Does anyone know of any mum & baby clubs or such like? I don't drive so would need to be pretty local or do-able by bus (or outside hubby's working hours for a lift)

I live in Aldershot, there is a great children's centre at Park Primary School. They run lots of baby activites and courses, best to start with drop in bumps and babes on Friday mornings, 10 to 11.30. Playworker there is called Linda and she give you details of all the other activities they run - baby music, baby massage, pram to school courses, PEEP etc. Always very well organised, friendly and v reasonable prices, as a lot of the activities are subsidized. The swimming pool is OK, has a nice lido but gets v busy in the summer.

Playgroup in St Augustine's Church hall on Tuesday afternoons, 1.30 onwards I think.

For days out locally Birdworld, Frensham, Alice Holt Forest and California Country Park are all good.

Have just rung the childrens centre - thanks for the number! - am going to pop down tomorrow for the bumps and babes. Can't thank you enough, have really been desperate for a reason to get me and Lola out of the house.

It's just occurred to me, were you at the bumps & babes group on Friday?? There was a Charlie there with his mum but I totally didn't make the connection at the time. If it was you, you shoulda said, I could've thanked you in person!

I live in Aldershot too. I never thought anyone lived here too, yeah!!!! I go to Upper Hale Baby Group on Mondays 9.30am to 11.30am its a 45 min walk as I am nearer to the big Tesco or I generally go in my car.

Oops forgot to mention dd Chloe is 4 months on Tuesday so we go together!!!

I also go to Baby Odeon on Thursday at 11.30am. If you wanted to meet up there I could drive you home, I can't drive there as normally dropping off niece to school on a Thursday so car a bit packed. Email me [email protected]

Yes it was me at bumps and babes with Charlie, I don't normally go now as I work full time but I had a day's leave last Friday. Hope you enjoyed it!
