Warm holiday in January

Before I rebook for Gran Canaria, is there anywhere recommended for a week's family holiday in January?

We need sun and warmth as OH's a farmer and sick of the cold and wet by that time!

Does anyone have any suggestions?

if it is short-haul from the UK it has to be the Canaries or Egypt if you want beach weather. Plenty of other places are pleasant but not that hot.

otherwise you could consider down the meridian to Kenya - no jet lag but long flight.

Goa in India. Florida.

Caribbean, Cape Town (no jet lag), Egypt, Dubai.

We're torn between our favourite in GC (tried and tested with the toddler) and going slightly further afield. I'm not sure about anywhere that needs jabs...

Dubai is a possibility, as is Florida - I'd not considered that at all!
