Please can somebody recommend any good websites for gites in France ?

As per the thread title, any recommendations would be more than welcome

There is just the 2 of us, no kiddywinks, but we also like going away with friends.

From budget - friendly and upwards would be great, and to be able to contact the owners, preferably English, or English speaking.

Meant to add on my original post, that we used a particular website a while ago, but had exhausted all the options that personally suited us on it, so we're not newcomers to France, we needed a change, and seen some really nice places on the holidaylettings site.

Will be exploring the remaining ones mentioned above :)

We used Chez Nous when we went. It had been recommended to us and we found lots of possibilities on there

We've used Owners Direct a few times, not just for France, and found it really good.

I find the details about the property, the location, whats nearby etc is usually pretty good.
