Is it worth buying a per pay tag thing? We are driving to royan from Caen on Fri 7th aug. have move with roof box so over 2m, does that make it pointless?

Oh stupid iPad! An mpv with roof box. And pre pay!

We drove down to the Alps in our estate with a roof box, height made no difference at tolls, though some supermarket carpark entrances did nearly catch us out!

The pre-pay thing is more of a time-saver to reduce queueing time, my sister lives there and has one just for that reason.

I don't think its worth pre-pay - you don't save any money. We went in May, and never queued more than a minute or two. I paid on my card most of the time, which meant not faffing aroudn with change/my appalling french
