If we were to go & do as much as we could with 8yr old DS. I'm wondering if we can manage to go one half-term.

if you want to do everything and still feel like you have had a holiday rather than been on a route march then you really need 2 wks in my opinion. Oct has the storms we prefer Feb when it is a bit cooler and not so busy. at 8 your DS will want to go to universal parks as well so either restrict what you do and go for a week or take 2 and do the lot. check out the dibb website and also buy the book WDW with kids and beyond WDW with kids both of which will help with your planning.

Thank you. I don't usually have DS for the longer holidays so we're stuck with half term. I'll have a google... he'll want to do WDW,Harry Potter, Universal etc

We only did 6 parks days and 2 water park days in our 14 days earlier in July. So it could be done. Check he's tall enough for Harry Potter. It would be a shame to get there and not be 48inches for forbidden journey.

We did 10 days and could have done with longer.

Thanks Groovee, that's helpful.

Because of the way holidays work, I am unlikely to ever have 14 days to take him, so maybe I just need to take the plunge & blitz it in a half term. If I take other adults, it might be more manageable... I have chronic illness that causes severe pain & fatigue so I'd need to be very well to tackle this!

We did 2 weeks, 1 would be hard work fitting everything in. October is good for Halloween.

I wonder if you can hire mobility scooters?

Hallowe'en would be fab. I love hallowe'en in America. Thank you. Will have a good think.

You can hire them in the parks but there are rental companies around orlando where if you had a big enough car you could take them. I considered it as I have fibromyalgia but i only had one day off issue and we chose to take a rest day.
