Cheap weekend needed North England for family of 4

We live in Northumberland. Any ideas for a cheap weekend away north of England/Scottish borders - preferably around the coast?

There are those WigWams very near Berwick...not sure how cheap, but look nice......think they have website. Northumberland Wigwams or summat.

Seahouses?

Whitley Bay?? Probably lots of cheapish B and Bs around there - lovely coastline and fab weather at mo.

A mate of mine stayed in the wigwams and says it's about £50 for the family. Will check it out. Thanks.

What about Whitby? Lovely place to visit.
