Family Friendly Places to eat Ullswater with playground?

Meeting up with a friend tomorrow with my 24 mth old and wondering if anyone can recommend a nice place to eat. Was thinking of going on the steamer and would be great if there is anywhere we could sit outside with a playground or park - anywhere with nice food would be great. Tried to look at some places but can't find anywhere with a playground.

Also liked the look of the waterfall nearby (aira beck) so if there is anywhere good near that perhaps.

Hi, there's Rheghed- that's pretty near Ullswater- and it has an outside play area that's pretty good. A castle, separated into different parts for different ages. I think they charge you for playing there. There are picnic tables within the play area, and a caravan serving (nice) food! Alternatively, if the weather isn't so good, there's a soft play place inside Rheghed, more suited to little ones (prob 5 and under?) and quite a few places to get nice food!

Hope that helps?!

I can't think of anywhere with a playground - this is maybe why you are not getting replies. I'm sure that wherever you get the steamer will have somewhere nice to eat and sit outside.
Howtown, Glenridding, Pooley Bridge. The water fall is lovely, but a walk and not near anywhere.

If it is wet I would go to Rheghed - if sunny they can throw stones in the lake and be quite happy.

Thanks guys. Think we wilk go to Pooley Bridge and see what we can find.

How did it go?

I really recommend the sun inn at pooley bridge - there is a lovely beer garden with a play castle outside for the childen and all enclosed with gates. Lovely food as well.
