I'm thinking of taking my kids down to Beanotown at the Southbank. Anyone been? Is there anything to actually do there? Dcs are aged 11, 9 and 4. TIA

I'm wondering the same!

Anyone?

I poked my head through the door a few weeks ago when I was passing with a group of colleagues, there seemed to be lots of younger kids in a bit of a soft play area and a huge open space/ foyer with not a lot going on at all.

Went to the Southbank again at the weekend with my older kids and we couldn't even find it! they thought I had imagined it the first time!

We popped in when passing recently, there seemed to be a section set aside with some activities (craft type stuff) going on, there was a v small nerf gun area but other than that mainly an exhibition of more interest to middle aged men who read the beano when they were little.

Ds1 is 4.5 and he was amused for about 5-10mins but that's it. Maybe if he was older and had read beano he might have been more interested.

If you're in the area anyway then worth popping in as it's free but I wouldn't make a special trip.
