Good beach in S. Brittany?

We're going to be staying in Pontivy for two weeks and would like to do a couple of day trips to the beach during that time.
Does anyone know of a good, child-friendly (3 & 5) beach somewhere between Carnac and Concarneau?
Thanks Smile

Carnac beach is really sandy and long but does get very busy.

Larmor-Plage is lovely, not too big, places to eat very nearby and pretty easy to get to from Pontivy. So nice we went twice in one week.

Thanks both for that.
fridayfreedom - that's exactly what we'd heard about Carnac; lovely but busy!
MrsJamin - I'll look that up. Return trip always suggests a good 'un Smile

Beaches along the Quiberon peninsula are lovely. The western side has bigger waves (Atlantic feed) whereas the eastern side is calm with very teensy shell-based beaches. Quiberon beach itself is nice too.

Du mendu is quieter than carnac and has toilets too.

mendu is the best beach. we live by the sea in the uk but i still have such lovely memories of crabbing/swimming etc on mendu. went there for at least 3 different holidays. the other beaches mentioned are nice....but not as nice as mendu
