Canary Islands - weather

has anyone just got back from a holiday in the canary islands. i am going to Fuerteventura next wednesday and weather sites says its really cloudy. anyone just been? thanks

We were in the s of Tenerife last week and the weather was fantastic, even though the forecast wasn't so good. In Tenerife apparently the weather station is in the North of the island where the weather is very different. The weather report from our hotel was from 320m high, therefore a lot less promising than the actual weather on the coast. I'm sure it will be lovely. Have a great holiday!
