Hand luggage questions - contact lenses...

I wear daily contact lenses - are these ok to take in hand luggage on a flight or do they count as liquid?

they count as liquid and need to go in the plastic bag. So if you can't fit them all in, the rest will have to go in your hold luggage.

I don't have any hold luggage...

Yeah they need to go in the plastic liquids bag.

CMOTDibbler · 14/07/2013 19:56

They need to go in your 1l, no side gussets, transparent, clear plastic bag with all your other liquids/gel/creams.

Sorry for being dim - only going for a weekend and usually have hold luggage.

So, I can take as many 'liquid items' as I like as long as they are under 100ml, fit into the plastic bag and don't exceed 1l in total?

Exactly.

CMOTDibbler · 14/07/2013 20:04

yes, it all has to fit in the sandwich bag, but as many things in there as you can fit in

AuntieMaggie · 14/07/2013 20:09

Brilliant ta. Any idea of what I should take?

remember it is all liquids, gels and pastes. So that includes makeup, deodorant, toothpaste.

put in your contact lenses, then add other stuff as fits in order of priority.

AuntieMaggie · 15/07/2013 08:29

What about powdered make up?

You don't need to put powdered makeup in the liquid bag.

I start with deodorant, toothpaste, moisturiser, mascara, suncream if I'll be out, handcream and lypsyl, then see if I have any other space. You can buy minis of all these in Boots
