There's a dinosaur area in Gulliver's World Warrington which my dinosaur mad 6 year old enjoys. There's also the dinosaur museum in Dorchester which is brilliant but wouldn't take up a whole day, maybe you could combine it with a fossil hunting expedition to the jurassic coast?
