Any recommendations for family holiday in Galicia, Spain?

We will be staying near Pontevedra in August. It looks a lovely area, but we have not been there before, and any recommendations re places to visit, excellent beaches, restaurants etc would be great!

Hi my family is original from that area and I spent many summers there when I was a child. Pontevedra old district is absolutely beautiful. Lanzada beach is very popular and San Xenxo very touristy but nice too. Parques nacionales illa de Ons and Illas Cies are great. Don't bother going to Vigo, it's a big industrial town and not very nice.
Festas da Peregrina in August are always very busy but I have great memories!

don't forget Santiago de Compostela and Costa da Morte. A Coruña is nice too but it might be a bit far though.
