Do the prices of cross channel ferries vary all that much over the course of the year?

I'm looking ahead to holidays for next summer, and trying to work out if we can afford to do what we want to do. As you can't get an accurate quote online for so far in advance, I was wondering if any regular travellers could give me an idea if, based on your previous experience, the prices for e.g. this August might be roughly similar to what they are likely to be next summer, or do they vary so much that there is really no way to guess?

Prices this August are likely to be similar to next August. But you will always get a better deal booking in advance. So if you are looking at this August NOW they will be on the high side of what you can expect. You can use Tesco vouchers for the eurotunnel too.
