Anyone want my Keycamp holiday in France? I have to cancel

Due to my DH losing his job last week and the job market not looking so good I have to cancel our Keycamp holiday in France this year. Is anyone interested in taking this over? Keycamp are happy for us to transfer to someone else .

The holiday includes channel tunnel on Saturday 23rd August Folkestone to Calais at 11.50, back on the following Saturday, 31st August at 12.20.

The accommodation booked is

24/8 - 25/8 - La Bien Assise, Guines (lovely little village just 20 - 30 mins drive from Calais) for one night in a Villagrand 3 bed + deck.

25/8 to 30/8 - la Croix du Vieux Pont (near Paris, lovely large park with lots for children) in a Villagrand deluxe 3 bed 2 bath + deck (very good quality of accommodation and booked near the lake).

30/8 - 31/8 - La Bien Assise, Guines again for ease of travelling back for one night in a Villagrand 3 bed + deck.

So in total that's one week including travel.

We stayed on the La Bien Assise campsite last year, it is a small campsite, lovely, with pool, friendly pub, restaurant, playgrounds, tennis courts, crazy golf etc and very handy for Calais. We decided to stay there again to split the journey.

The campsite La Croix du Vieux Pont is near Paris, apparently 45 mins on the train, an hour and a half on the coach which leave from the campsite and can be booked at reception on the campsite.

Here's the information about the parks:

www.keycamp.co.uk/sites/france-paris/pa012-la-croix-du-vieux-pont.html

www.keycamp.co.uk/sites/france-picardy/pc011-la-bien-assise.html

Total cost was £1099. We would be happy to accept £750 or make me an offer Smile

Any questions, just ask.

oh what a huge shame! Bumping for you. You must be gutted.

loopyloou · 04/07/2013 15:14

Thank you. I am absolutely gutted, we were so looking forward to it, but just can't afford the petrol or outings whilst there plus dh needs to stay here to search for work anyway Sad

bumping again for you Sad
Both sites are lovely I hope you get a taker for the holiday and that your dh gets another job soon.

GampyWabbit · 04/07/2013 17:53

I'm interested. Will ask dh.

loopyloou · 04/07/2013 18:16

Gampy that's great, just let me know if you have any questions.

Forgot to say, the accommodation has 3 bedrooms but will also sleep another 2 people in the fold down sofa in the living area, so can sleep up to 8. Makes a really cheap holiday, especially if you split it between two families.

Bumping for you as we did this exact holiday last year and it was brilliant . If we hadn't already booked camping for this year I would do it again!

GampyWabbit · 04/07/2013 18:31

I will get back to you a bit later, if it doesn't go before then. Dh out til late and I'll have a look at things when dcs all in bed!

Portofino · 04/07/2013 18:48

I'll try putting the link on the Benelux mnetters FB page in case Gampy can't make it. Dead easy drive this, from Brussels.

loopyloou · 04/07/2013 18:52

That's great, thanks Portofini. Smile

Just for info for anyone considering this, we have been to this site and it is lovely. Great kids club's, lovely safe lake for small children and they've just added soft play, bowling and laser. The campsite also run coaches to Disneyland.

loopyloou · 05/07/2013 08:35

Thanks Soloman Smile

Here's a link to the Keycamp page for La Croix du Vieux Pont

www.keycamp.co.uk/sites/france-paris/pa012-la-croix-du-vieux-pont.html

This is what they say about the site:

Ideal as a main holiday destination or for a stopover/short break to Disneyland® Resort Paris. Set beside a meandering river and within walking distance of Vicsur- Aisne, the attractively landscaped parkland has tall poplar trees and weeping willows. The old stone farm buildings which house the restaurant and bar have been tastefully converted and the terrace overlooks the swimming pool, which features indoor waterslides and a covered pool. In addition you can hire pedalos and canoes on the small parc lake. Plus there is a lake for swimming and another for fishing. If you’re in need of some real pampering, don’t forget to book yourself into the fantastic spa and beauty therapy centre. The parc also has a ‘pub’ complex with underground disco for teenagers. The parc also boasts a new outdoor pool complex.
