German self catering

Hello!

DH, DS (13 months) and I will be going to Germany this summer. My brother lives in Berlin so we're spending a few days with him but then we'd like to go into the countryside. We're not taking a car so will be travelling by train and fancied a place called Waren (Muritz). This is a very long shot, but can anyone recommend self catering accommodation there, and if not, what's the best website to use for finding self catering accommodation in Germany?

Thanks in advance :)

We used booking.com to book an apartment in berlin this summer, and have used them for other hotel-bookings in the past. You can sort by price so can quickly sift to the most economical!

The best would be to contact Waren

www.waren-tourismus.de/service-kontakt/tourist-information/kontakt/kontaktformular.html

I couldn't find a links to convert to English but maybe your brother is able to help if you don't speak German.

It looks quite nice, we are German and normally go every year to get DD to practise her German skills, this sounds like a trip for next year.

Have fun.

We have booked holiday homes in Germany using the Home away website - although we haven't stayed near Berlin but have been really happy with every house we have stayed in - next trip is in the summer holidays and I am already planning how many Hanuta we can bring back.

Hanuta, yummy. One of the thinks I stock up when I am in Frankfurt for business.
