Have spent ages looking at houses in the Dordogne and have been a bit appalled at the prices (looking for big house with pool). Have been searching around and found a lovely looking house in the Correze (nr Argentat) that is far cheaper. Anyone know about the region? It looks v rural and quite 'upland' - I need to know whether the weather is likely to be reliably hot and sunny in August, and whether there's much to do with young kids (we don't need much - a few nice villages to visit, lake beaches to go to, maybe the odd zoo type effort...). Anyone been there?
