Can anyone recommend a pub/restaurant on the Isle of Wight?

That's it really, we are staying in the south near Brighstone and as its DH's birthday I would like to book a table to take him out to dinner.

New Inn at Shalfleet, lovely seafood.

For something a bit fancy, there's Farringford House in Freshwater.

Totally not near you or particularly fancy, but if you happen to be near Bembridge then you have to go to the hut on the beach near the Lifeboat Station (I think it's called Lifeboat View). So tasty lobster. Likewise Steephill Cove in Ventnor, when you go down the steps (they're not kidding about steep...) and turn right it's at the end, no idea what it's called, but they serve great seafood also - half a pint of prawns is a great deal and very tasty.
