Anyone stayed at Confortel Menorca (Annabel) Cala Galdana?

Still haven't booked our Menorca holiday yet, had been slightly put off the original plan of Cala Blanca (beach small and most people seemed to think it was a bit of a hole) and liked the idea of Cala Galdana. Due to leaving things so late (we're going end of July) not much left but found space at Confortel which gets reasonable reviews and Floramar - reviews less good. Just wondered if any of you had experience of either?

Not been to stay at Cala Galdana, but have stopped during airport pick-ups/drop offs and it is beautiful. Remember that even if you think you'll get bored, the public buses are cheap and you can get around quite easily to different resorts and towns if you don't hire a car.

We have recently come back from Ciutadella, we had a trip to the other end of the island to Mahon by bus, 10 euro each adult return. I'm impressed with their buses, they have three point seat belts.

We liked Ciutadella as well, lovely shops and restaurants, fantastic food, very friendly people.

Cala Galdana is very beautiful and quite "upmarket", although I don't know this particular hotel, I'm sure it will be fine. The beach and surroundings are very pretty, there are a few bars and many good quality restaurants.

If you go into the "Forum", there is a section devoted to Cala Galdana which should give you lots of information and details about the hotels.

(Cala Blanca is not a "hole" - it's very popular with the Spanish, it's just that other parts of the Island are greener and more attractive). I think the person who referred to it as a hole hated Menorca in general and thought it boring. Probably not enough bingo and egg & chips for them

I have been to Cala Galdana a few times- I love it love it love it.

For me, by far and away the best resort in Menorca.

I stayed once in an apartment and once in the hotel right in the bottom of the valley near the beach think it was called the Hotel Cala Galdana. Some years ago now tbh.

Thank you all for your advice. I've finally booked the holiday in Cala Galdana after a lot of (DH would say obsessive) deliberation and internet searching. Great to have everyone's opinions and advice. Thanks
