Can anyone tell me about Pristina, Kosovo and Slovenia?

DD wants to go to Kosovo (specifically Pristina) and Slovenia at some point in the near future, it would most likely be during the Christmas holidays. I'm considering it, but I'm worried about the safety issue- it would just be the two of us going, and I know it certainly wouldn't be advisable 20 years ago. I've just been to Croatia with friends and that was lovely, but I gather Kosovo in particular isn't as stable as Croatia. Does anyone have any experience to reassure me/put me off altogether?

hi! We're going to Slovenia on Saturday so I'm hoping its safe! My hubby is also quite adventurous but it looked pretty well set up for tourism to me. We're going to Bled a resort on a lake. Will let you know!

Slovenia is completely safe - as much as any other european country. It's lovely, small and fairly developed (compared to their regional peers, Croatia for example). Never been to Kosovo, but I think it is MUCH much different from Slovenia both in terms of development and safety. Not comparable at all.

BubaMarra that's what I was hoping . It's our first trip abroad with Ds aged 9 months. I'm assuming I can get wet wipes etc in the shopping centre in Bled. What do you think?

Ok, good to know Slovenias doable, thanks. Should add that dd can speak Kosovar Albanian and Slovenian, and she can swear in Serbian Grin Not sure if its better to be Albanian or Serbian in Kosovo these days though. She has family from Mostar, Herzegovina too but I gather that might be worse than Kosovo. God she's complicated!
