We've just booked a long weekend in Cornwall, just the two of us. I've never been. Can anyone give us tips on things to do and things to avoid?

That will be why you have no replies- too wide an area. What sort of thing do you like doing? Personally I would avoid Newquay- especially at this time of year with teenagers who have finished exams.

If you don't want to surf you can hire body boards- they are great fun but you might want to hire a wet suit too if the weather doesn't improve!

visit polzeath - lovely beach. coastal path walk. st Ives, boat trip there and back. down to st Michaels mount. loads to do but depends what kind of hols you want.
