Any suggestions?

Next April, for 1 week in school Easter hols.

Me, DP and DD(5).

Budget 1k max, preferably less.

Either UK or shorthaul ( but needs to be sunny/warm if we go overseas).

We generally stay in caravans/mobile homes but I'd rather splash out on somewhere that I don't have to worry about cooking or making beds.

As DD is only child, we like to go somewhere that has activities/kids club.

Any suggestions very welcome!

Going abroad will mean some of your budget is spent on flights or other transport so you'd have less to spend on accommodation. I don't know what prices are like at easter but I imagine that as with every school holiday there is a premium.

As a child we went on a Eurocamp holiday to France though it was in the summer. They have permanent tents, static caravans and lodges and a lot of their locations in Spain for instance appear to have pools and kids clubs. This is a cheaper option which would leave more of the budget free for activities.

Thanks for replying.

We've done euro camp a few times and we love it. I'm just concerned about the weather in April and fancy a bit more luxury as its our honeymoon.

I'm not averse to a lodge or static caravan, its the cooking, cleaning and washing up that I'd rather avoid.

Easter too early for most of Europe if you want a good chance of good weather. Can you change the date?

The canaries is nice in April and you might be able to find a good deal for maybe half board etc nearer the time? Though I wouldn't know about kids activities I guess it depends on the resort.
