One of the crews came into the restaurant we were in an proceeded to strip off, then drape their damp clothes over the rails.

I thought it was fantastic! we did Warrior, coffee, Action Stations, lunch, Victory, icecream, failed trip to cinema to see curious george which wasn't on, ferry to gosport and back, gunwhatsit quay, supper at tootsies, home. All most satisfactory!

Want to go back and do aquarium and go up spinnaker tower which had a v long queue.

PrincessPeaHead · 31/05/2006 19:39

ps saw someone who I thought must be scienceteacher but then I counted the children and there were 6, not 5!!!

scienceteacher · 31/05/2006 19:45

Sometimes it seems like there are six...

I have 2 teenage boys, and three girls 9, 6, 4. The four year old was behaving like a lunatic. We were mostly at the Harbour between 1.30 and 3, apart from the 20 minutes before our 11am sailing. We had lunch at Santa Fe, and then had a short wander through the shops.

sugarfree · 31/05/2006 19:51

Um..why wasn't Curious George on then?I'm planning to go down there tomorrow to se it with my lot.

scienceteacher · 31/05/2006 19:52

Tis a really great day out, especially if you live within a couple of hours of it.
The attractions appeal to all ages, and they make an effort to appeal to young children. I hadn't discovered Gunwharf Quay first time round, but it really is the icing on the cake. If the weather had been warmer, I could see just sitting outside in one of the restaurants, listening to the live band, while the kids run up and down.

It does take more than one visit to cover everything.

PrincessPeaHead · 31/05/2006 19:53

it had been on, but only a couple of showings earlier in the day. all over by 3.00 which is when we got there. that was at port solent.

Cheers PPH! It's got funny times at GWQ too.
I live about 15 minutes from there.
