Forbidden Corner : where to stay?

Have bought tickets for Forbidden Corner for a Saturday afternoon in July for me and the DC (8 and 6). I am struggling to find any family friendly accommodation in the vicinity and don't want to drive there and back all in one day .
Need a family room somewhere that doesn't have too many breakables! The DC are generally well behaved but I quake inside at the thought of taking them somewhere where old ladies tut at them over the top of their knitting!
Any suggestions ?

I think we stayed here : Eastfield Lodge, in the centre of the nearby village of Leyburn so easy to wander about, and there was a play area just outside the village we walked to. It was a couple of years ago, so a bit blurry..

Are you coming from north or south?
