I've got a 2yr old who is nearly 18kgs but way to wee to be put into a booster/high backed car seat that uses only the seat belt - I'm looking for a car seat with 5 point harness for up 25kgs - has anyone got any ideas as i'm struggling to find one.

thanks

Does he really not fit into a Maxi Cosi Priori? I thought that was meant to be up to 4.

not sure of the name in england ut britax make one here in the states called a boulevard - it is their new one with side impact protection and has a hefty price tag, but it is suitable up to 65 lbs!!! we bought one following a scary car crash and it is great and user friendy - rear anf foward facing so it could be good for subsequent children. will google it and see if I can find it in the uk

hi thanks. I'm always amazed at the different products available outside the uk. I never understand why in USA a child of 25kg + can still get a 5-point harness seat but the same company on their website in the uk have chairs that use adult seatbelts. (rant over) thanks for the differnet suggestions. i've still got 1/2kg before huge ds1 is too heavy for seat that he's in. i've just looked on the growth charts and according to their scales he'll not reach 25 till 4.5yrs so should be safe enough to go for an up to 25kg seat. I'v also just discovered that if i look on the special needs section of britax and a few others they do do seats with 5-point harnesses that go up to heavier weights. :)
