DH has a day free in Delhi - what can he do?

Hi,
DH is travelling to India in June on business and has an extra day in Delhi. What can he do? He's not going to be able to take even the shortest internal flight, so it would need to be in/around the city. He's happy to do some sort of day long guided tour - probably might be better than him trying to piece things together by himself.
Be very grateful for any ideas!
Thanks.

Lots to see in Delhi - Qutab Minar; trip around 'Old Delhi" - but watch out for scammers and pickpockets; Jama Masjid mosque; the Red Fort; Humayun's tomb.

Would definitely recommend he gets a driver for the day will save a lot of hassle and should not cost much. But you don't need one to look around the sights themselves.

His hotel will be able to arrange a driver. Make sure he asks for an air conditioned car!

If he doesn't mind getting up early it is also possible to visit the Taj Mahal as a day trip from Delhi. The Shatabdi Express train leaves at 6.30 am and returns about 7 pm - journey time is about 2 hours and includes breakfast/dinner.

Red Fort definitely worth a visit. One of the mosques is nearby too.

I'd stick to doing that - driving round he'll get a sense of the city. It will probably be hot so he'll want chilling out time too.

Thank you for the ideas! Will find out which hotel he is staying at and ask them about a driver. Is it better to do it through the hotel, than through a local travel guide?

I would think that the hotel will have some trusted and reliable drivers - but may cost a bit more.
