The dc's school have a teachers training day tomorrow so I'm thinking of taking them here for the day. Hoping it will be fairly quiet as I think most other schools won't have broken up? We've never been here so I've got two questions for anyone that has: is it worth going even if there is some rain, do they keep the rides open? and would it be suitable for two average height children of 7 and 10? We are planning on taking our own food but I really don't want to waste the £60 ticket price if it will be a rubbish day out. Thanks!

We went when the DC were about that age and they all enjoyed it. Sunnyish day so no rain concerns!

Think we went for free on Tesco vouchers IIRCWink

I would say 10 is too old for gulliver's

Have you considered Camelot or is that a bit far?

RegularVoltaire · 23/05/2013 20:54

They do close some of the rides on the rain, yes.

I also agree with chickendsalad, 10 is probably too old for gullivers.

How about Blackpool Pleasure Beach?

I thought it was staying open for this summer before they build some houses on it
