Whipsnade zoo, Any tips, helpful hints?

We are planning a visit to Whipsnade zoo soon to break up a long drive to visit relatives in Scotland.

Girls will be 4 and just 3 (by a week!) Anything helpful hints or tips for our visit? Any must see's or must do's?

We love Whipsnade! It can get quite chilly though so definitely take an extra jumper.

We had a magical moment towards the end of the day when they were cleaning out the elephant enclosure and the zoo keepers led the elephants back into their area, all in size order, linked tail to trunk, including a little baby. It was so lovely.

There is a new soft play too but haven't tried it yet.

The softplay is lovely, head there first and book your slot, (no booked slot=no play).
Dont pay extra to bring the car in, its perfectly walkable!!
Dont forget to do the discovery centre, lots of cool insects and animals to see!
