Bournemouth restaurant?

We're going to be holidaying in Bournemouth over Father's Day and we want to take the dads out for dinner. We will have three children in the party aged 3.6, 18m and 9m. Can anyone recommend a fun family restaurant that might even have somewhere for the eldest to play?

Thanks! Smile

Aruba,by the pier is child friendly in the day but prob not really suitable at night
Tapas Plus is a family run Spanish restaurant in the town square, no play facilities but child friendly as the Spanish always are. They are usually busy on evenings so book early

There's loads of "brewers fayre" or " harvester" type places around the suburbs, totally aimed at families but being chain pub restaurants the food is the usual microwaved stuff

Cheese & Alfies also friendly, its a little place in Christchurch, about 5 miles away

Urban Reef at Boscombe is great.

Really child friendly, great food (for adults and children). Eldest can play on the beach - it's right there.

Really relaxed atmosphere and lovely staff. Definitely book - it gets busy.

There is a rook top one right in the centre of town. Last went there quite a while ago but was really nice.

Ooh thanks all. I'd found Aruba by googling but read really mixed reviews: is it worth a chance? it'll be a lunchtime thing.

Will google some of the others to have a look now! Thanks again! Smile

Vesuvio is on the beach at alum chine next to a playground. If the weather's rubbish bee a bug in Westbourne is good for a coffee, but not open in the evening.

Vesuvio good for daytime, right on beach.
Also The Boathouse in Christchurch

Very child friendly places suitable for lunches are Arcado Lounge in Christchurch or their sister places Ludo Lounge in Southbourne and Centro Lounge in Westbourne, all v.near Bournemouth.

If you like Spanish food, I def recommend Tapas Plus for lunch :-)
