Barcelona - apartment recommendations please

Just booked the flight, now i need to sort the apartment out. It sounds like the Borne area is the place to go - fairly convenient to things but hopefully not too noisy and a little bit Spanish?

Does anyone know of a good apartments? There are loads on holidaylettings and owners direct, but its hard to tell the good from the bad.

Last year we stayed in the Lugaris Home Concept apartments. They were of a fantastic standard, and had a rooftop pool. They were 5 minutes from the beach boulevard and a 10 minute stroll from there gets you to the marina, restaurants etc on the sea front.

We spent so much time enjoying beach front tapas in the evening due to the amazing weather.

It was a few minutes to the beginning of Las Ramblas and the supermarkets, bakeries and pharmacy. There was a good bus connection there too.

splendom suites barcelona, kids corner with toys and tv etc in communal drawing room with bar, then lush lovely apartments with basic kitchen, coffee machine, microwave. cross between hotel and apartment. although lugaris sounds pretty fab too.
