hotel for stopover on way to loire valley from calais

Hi, we are staying in the loire valley in august , driving via calais, could anyone advise on a convenient hotel or b and b we could break the journey up at ? Thanks

Have you looked at the logis de France website? We use them a lot when driving through France although have often stayed in the odd Kyriad too, which is essentially like a Premier Inn so you do know what you're getting. How far are you wanting to drive before stopping? Is Rouen any good? There are two Kyriads there - one good, one less so (having stayed in both).

Formule 1 and Etap hotels are good and cheap for b&b, and always close to Motorway junctions.

The Novotel in Rouen is ok - decent restaurant plus an outdoor pool and kids play area.

We use to do this journey every few months. Used to stay on Ibis or Novotel at Rouen. Also frequently stay in B&B hotels if you want something super cheap.
