Apps to plan a holiday

I have bought my stepson and ipad for his birthday and he wants to use it to plan his travels this summer.

We have had a google for an app but not had much luck.

He wants something where he can collect together pictures and places to visit, so need not necessarily be a travel app but more of a project or planner.
