Looking at this area so we can visit Port Aventura, Barcelona and still have a beach holiday. Where is good area to stay near beaches (Salou?) and restaurants. Teens to keep happy but not too noisy?!

Would you stay on a campsite in an air-conditioned mobile home? We went to Salou with Thomson Alfresco. The van was great ( 3 bedrooms, loo, shower, deck etc) and the site has 3 pools, entertainment and is a few mins walk to beach (across a road). We also walked to the station for a day trip to Barcelona, and had a weeks pass for Portaventura so went (almost) daily after 4pm when quiet and not so hot. LOts of restauarants and you can self cater/BBQ some days to save money. :)

Thanks have looked at those today! Been to Keycamps sites in past in mobile homes but maybe more of a squeeze now 2 DS's are adults and DD is 11. Defo like area or Cambrils. Shocked at price of Portaventura hotels! Not sure if DS's actually want to come but planning for them anyway! Dont think they will turn down that sort of holiday.

We stayed at The Golden Avenida Suites which were 1/2 bedroomed apartments. You could get S/C H/B and I believe they do AI now too. It wasn't far from the park, short walk to the shops and a few extra minutes to the beach. 5 mins to Cambrils on the bus which was lovely for a day visit.
