Tower of London and London Eye tickets

Has anyone seen any good deals for these two attractions?

Everything I have found seems to work out no cheaper than just buying online direct from the attraction?

You can get 2.for 1 tickets if you go by train. But not in July/August when I'm going :(

Thanks - not going by train though.

Have you been on the eye before? Do you know how long before ticket time you should arrive if booked online?

Went about 7 years ago so can't quite remember, think it said on the tickets, maybe 1/2 hr ??
