Villas Portugal or Italy - any recommendations?

Hi All - we are thinking of having a villa holiday next year (I know its early to think about it but my parents are coming along and they have a busy social life that we have to fit around!!)

There will be 4 adults, 2 kids of 2 years old and a 6 month old baby by then so we will need a villa with 3-4 bedrooms and definitely need a private pool.

Has anyone been anywhere nice that they can recommend - I have been trawling through websites but there are just so many and its so hard to tell!!!! Heeeeelp!!!

We used a company called Villaplus.com last year and they were very good. We went to an area called sao rafael in the algarve which had a nice quiet beach but we did go in may.

We had a lovely time. There were two beaches that were lovely and we just spent most of the time there One had a little cove with shallow water that the kids could sit in and paddle without us worrying about the tide. The outside pools are still a bit chilly in May but the kids still seem to enjoy it. Not loads to do there but you get a hirecar so the world is your oyster and all that.

hiya. we go to a friends villa, and are going again in september. it is large and has 1 double and 1 twin bedroom downstairs, with a bathroom.
then upstairs there is the main double with en suite and a twin with ensuite. ( my dp and i take double, dd takes twin and parents are downstairs. gives people bit of privacy,)

has large open plan lounge and kitchen and dining area. patio with large brick bar b que and pool, with baby shallow area. steps and goes gradually deeper. large grounds, all enclosed in with low wall and gate. only one neighbour and he is an old portugese man!!!

only problem is it is 2 hours drive from airport, but well worth it when you get there. if you want details or pictures just ask.

or just advise of places to go in portugal, as parents go there 4 times a year for past 5 years. hth
