Insurance with ill relative?

My mother is terminally ill and has months left to live but I really want/need to go on holiday for a week in the U.K. in June. Have decided this so that we can get back to my parents quickly if needed, not spending too much money on the holiday etc. However is there an insurance company that will cover the cost of the holiday house? (£600) or would we have to write this off if the worst happened?

I'm sorry to hear about your Mum.

Do you need to book a cottage now, or can you wait til very near the time, and then book at the last minute?

Or find somewhere that will allow you to move the booking to later in the year if the worst happens?

Hope you have a good holiday.

sadly it is most unlikely that you will get cover for this, as it is a pre-existing condition with a terminal diagnosis.

UK holiday cottages are struggling so you should be able to get a last minute booking.

my sympathies.
