Aeroplane with a 10mo tips please!

Off to Rome next week (very excited) with DM and DD. We've booked an infant seat so DD will be on my lap, I'm planning on taking a sling to walk her around in and books and toys to keep her amused. Is it worth booking a catseat seat?

On a 2 hr flight you won't be able to walk round much on the plane. You can take the buggy to the gate but a sling is a good idea at the other end when it is likely you won't get the buggy at the plane. Take small toys .. Mine loved big beads on a string at that age ..pulling / sliding/ eating them, colour cordinate plastic bags in your hand luggage for easy access. One for changing items, spare clothes, toys and snacks. Give dummy or drink on take off and landing. Rome is lovelyhave a great time!
