Self catering near Naples, not as far out as Sorrento?

We're looking for a self catering apartment/house (not in a big tourist development ie 4 or less apartments, within about an hour of Naples (towards Pompeii/Herculaneum/Vesuvius - much more important to us than a beach!! - or east towards Campi Flegri) for 2 adults/3 dc 9,11,13 for the w/c 13th July. Must have a pool, but happy to share. Dc are happy to share a room. Would like a town/village with shops, restaurant, Market etc. We will be hiring a car, and an inland location is ok.

I've spent half the day trawling the Internet and it's all in Sorrento or Amalfi Coast. We've stayed in Naples before and we loved it, we're not looking for tourist heaven!

After that we're going to Rome for 5 days (hotel) and that will be ok.

I have, they're more expensive mainly than we can manage - we need under £1000 for the week. And almost all Sorrento or Amalfi coast. I appreciate it's gorgeous, but we're less interested in views than we are in ruinsand volcanoes!! Dh drives a 120 mile round trip to work so would rather not on holiday!!
